Ayşe Nur Gençalp was raised in Istanbul, Türkiye. She studied in General Business at the Istanbul Technical University and State University of New York. After graduation, she worked as a financial analyst for a year in Istanbul and New York. She completed her MFA in Film Production at the MIU.
After her graduation she worked as a lecturer at institutions such as New York Film Academy
while working on various international, award-winning short/feature films as a cinematographer. In 2014 she returned to Istanbul and continued her career in the film industry as education coordinator/ communications in a film academy and a festival.
In 2018 she was in charge of the coordination of the Turkish Cinema Stand and Turkish Films Pavilion in Berlinale and Cannes Film Festival.
Ayşe has been working in a production companies and producing tv series, feature length films and commercials. She currently works in communications, manages projects and campaigns, creates and produces content, give consultancy for NGOs..
